Therapy at Your Next Right Step can benefit anyone who is struggling with a mental health challenge or looking to improve their overall emotional well-being. We work with adults, individually, from all backgrounds.
In your first therapy session, we will discuss your reasons for seeking therapy and your goals for treatment. We will also talk about your medical history and any current symptoms you may be experiencing.
The frequency of therapy sessions will depend on your individual needs and goals. Many clients attend therapy once a week in the beginning, moving to bi-weekly with progress. Others may attend less frequently or move to monthly/as needed as they progress. We will work together to develop a personalized treatment plan.
The duration of therapy sessions at Your Next Right Step Therapy is typically 45-55 minutes depending on need. Timeframes range from an average of 6-12 sessions to work through a specific goal to longer when working on more complex concerns or multiple goals.
The cost of therapy sessions at Your Next Right Step Therapy varies depending on the length of the session and your insurance coverage, as applicable. Self pay rates are per session. For those we are out of network with payment will be required at time of service and we will provide a superbill that clients may submit to their insurance for partial/full reimbursement. A superbill is a document that allows clients to bill their insurance company directly which helps them get reimbursed for service. Superbills include information similar to an insurance claim form, such as the date of the service provided, procedure codes and a total balance due. A superbill will be provided monthly as requested.
There are benefits to choosing self-pay versus insurance for therapy services. These include: increased privacy, flexibility, and control over treatment compared to using insurance. It allows for greater choice in therapists, potentially higher quality care, and avoids the limitations and administrative burdens associated with insurance companies.
With our practice the decision is yours to make, if we accept your insurance we will always offer to utilize the insurance. If you choose self-pay even though we do accept your insurance you will be required to sign an "Opt Out Form." An insurance opt-out form for psychotherapy is a document that clients sign to indicate their decision to pay for therapy sessions out-of-pocket, rather than using their health insurance. This means the client is responsible for the full cost of each session and cannot use their insurance deductible or claim reimbursement from their insurance provider for those sessions.
Yes, Your Next Right Step Therapy is a LGBTQIA+ friendly practice. We provide a safe and welcoming environment for individuals of all gender identities and sexual orientations.
We offer a range of evidence-based therapies, including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), relapse prevention, motivational interviewing, dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), solution-focused brief therapy (SFBT) and mindfulness-based therapies.
A Good Faith Estimate lets clients know the anticipated cost of any services or treatments they might receive from a clinician. The estimate is intended for a patient who either doesn't have insurance or who decides not to use insurance to cover the cost of behavioral health services. For clients of Your Next Right Step, you may take the self-pay rate times the number of sessions you wish to attend. Please inquire with therapist for more information as needed.
